สรุปยอดผ้าป่าสร้างศูนย์การเรียนรู้ฯ วันอาทิตย์ที่ 12 กรกฎาคม 2552

ในการทอดผ้าป่าสร้างศูนย์การเรียนรู้ฯวันอาทิตย์ที่ 12 กรกฎาคม 2552 ที่ผ่านมา ได้รับเงินบริจาคร่วมทำบุญทั้งหมด 421,998 บาท และยังมีทยอยมาอีกเรื่อยๆ ขอขอบพระคุณมา ณ ที่นี้ เงินจำนวนนี้ และขอบพระคุณเป็นพิเศษแก่คุณวนิดา ไชยนุวัติและครอบครัวผู้บริจาครายใหญ่ของศูนย์ฯที่กรุณาสบทบเงินบริจาคอีก 100,000 บาท นอกเหนือจากที่เคยบริจาคห้องประชุมและ media center

แนวคิดจากการจัดทอดผ้าป่าเริ่มมาจากการรวมกลุ่มคน 2 กลุ่มเล็กๆ ซึ่งเป็นศิษย์เก่าโรงเรียนเรยีนาเชลีวิทยาลัยรุ่น 16 กับแพทย์เชียงใหม่รุ่น 18 ที่ต้องการช่วยเหลือและสนับสนุนกิจกรรมของเพื่อนในรุ่นที่ทำงานในกลุ่มล้านนาด็อกเรสคิว เนื่องจากแนวการทำงานของกลุ่มล้านนาด็อกฯที่มุ่งทำงานร่วมกับวัด ชุมชนและอิงหลักของพุทธศาสนามาตลอด จึงคิดว่าการจัดกิจกรรมทอดผ้าป่าเพื่อนำเงินมาสร้างศูนย์ฯ น่าจะได้รับการสนับสนุนจากทุกๆฝ่าย  ตลอดเวลาของการเตรียมจัดผ้าป่า คณะผู้จัดได้รับความเมตตาจากพระครูโฆสิตปริยัตยาภรณ์ เจ้าคณะตำบลสุเทพ เขต 1  วัดป่าแดงมหาวิหาร และพระครูอาทรวิสุทธิคุณ เจ้าคณะอำเภอหางดง วัดหนองตอง เป็นที่ปรึกษาให้คำแนะนำการจัดทอดผ้าป่าและการทำงานร่วมกับองค์กรปกครองท้องถิ่น ทั้งนายอำเภอ กำนัน และผู้ใหญ่บ้าน ในอำเภอหางดง ที่ศูนย์การเรียนรู้ฯ ของล้านนาด็อกฯตั้งอยู่ และพระครูอาทรฯกรุณาให้สัมโมทนียกถาโดยมีใจความสำคัญว่าการจัดตั้งศูนย์ฯเป็นแนวทางที่ถูกต้องและเหมาะสมเพราะช่วยให้ชาวพุทธเจริญเมตตาและกรุณาอันเป็นธรรมที่สำคัญในพรหมวิหารสี่และที่สำคัญคือศูนย์ฯแห่งนี้จะเป็นไม่เป็นสถานที่เลี้ยงดูสัตว์แต่เป็นสถานที่ของการเรียนรู้ในการดูแลสัตว์ด้วยความเมตตาและอนุโมทนาให้การดำเนินงานของศูนย์ฯประสพความสำเร็จสมดังมุ่งหมาย

ในวันทอดผ้าป่าที่ศูนย์ฯนั้นเป็นบรรยากาศแห่งความปิติที่เจ้าคณะตำบลในอำเภอหางดง 9 รูป ได้มาร่วมทำพิธีด้วยตนเองโดยเฉพาะหลวงปู่ครูบาดวงดีแม้ว่าท่านอายุ 94 ท่านได้มาเป็นสิริมงคลและยังได้บริจาคเงินสมทบทุนสร้างศูนย์ฯด้วย ภาพของคณะสงฆ์อาวุโสที่สวดมนต์โดยมี รศ.นพ ศตวรรษ ทองสวัสดิ์ ทำหน้าที่เป็น “ปู่จ๋าน” ฝ่ายฆราวาสพิธีทางศาสนา นำมาซึ่งความปิติ อิ่มเอิบและซึมซับเอาความเมตตาของเหล่าคณะสงฆ์ที่ให้ความสำคัญและส่งเสริมแนวทางการสร้างศูนย์การเรียนรู้และปลูกฝังความเมตตาโดยใช้สัตว์เป็นโมเดล

ขณะที่ภายในห้องประชุมมีชีวิตชีวาด้วยการช่วยกันจัดตกแต่งจัดต้นผ้าป่า “ครัวตาน” อย่างสวยงามและอบอุ่นด้วยผู้เฒ่าผู้แก่ที่เป็นที่เคารพนับถือจากชุมชนและที่เป็นพ่อแม่ของคณะผู้จัด บรรยากาศทั่วไปภายนอกเต็มไปด้วยความสุขของการได้ทำบุญและผ่อนคลายภายใต้ร่มไม้ เขียวชะอุ่ม อาหารอร่อย ขอขอบคุณกลุ่มเรยีนา 16 และแพทย์เชียงใหม่รุ่น 18 ที่อยู่เบื้องหลังงาน ขอบคุณคุณสุรเดช เฮงวิทยากุลเจ้าภาพเลี้ยงอาหาร พี่ๆน้องๆป้าๆที่ทำกาแฟสด ขนมต่างๆ ซึ่งอร่อยทุกอย่าง รวมทั้งเพื่อนๆที่มิได้เอ่ยนามออกแรงช่วยประชาสัมพันธ์ แจกซอง โดยใช้ชื่อ ตำแหน่งเป็นประกันและสายสัมพันธ์  พิมพ์ใบปลิวผ้าป่า จับจ่ายของใช้ในงานทอดผ้าป่า ค่าใช้จ่ายที่มิใช่น้อยๆกว่าครึ่งแสนเหล่านี้ไม่ได้หักจากเงินทอดผ้าป่าใดๆเลย แต่ญาติ เพื่อนฝูง ช่วยกันเป็นเจ้าภาพด้วยความเต็มใจทั้งสิ้น

สิ่งที่สำคัญที่สุดจากการจัดทอดผ้าป่าในครั้งนี้แสดงให้เห็นว่า ล้านนาด็อกเรสคิวจะเป็นองค์กรที่ยั่งยืนของเชียงใหม่ในอนาคต ดังจะเห็นได้จากเงินบริจาคที่มาจากทุกหมู่เหล่าของคนในประเทศเอง แขกผู้ที่มาร่วมมีทั้งชาวไทยไทย ต่างประเทศ ที่เป็นทั้งชาวพุทธ และคริสต์  การยึดแนวทาง “Metta” จึงมีความเป็นสากลที่ทุกศาสนิกชนเข้ามามีส่วนร่วมและสนับสนุนในกิจกรรม

A Tod Pa Pah ceremony was held at Lanna Dog Rescue’s, still unfinished, Humane Education and Animal Welfare Center on July 12^th. 2009. LDR received donations amounting to Baht 421, 998 and more is still coming in.

The new Lanna Dog Center will be a place where one can learn to care for the welfare of animals with compassion and respect and where stray and abandoned dogs will be trained to serve society

The idea of arranging a Tod Pa Pah ceremony was the brain child of the Regina Coeli College Alumni, Class 16 and the Chiang Mai University Medical School Alumni, Class 18. Both institutions wanted to help their friends, who have been working for many years, with Lanna Dog Rescue.

Lanna Dog Rescue’s work is based on Buddhist traditions of “Metta”. This has been the strength of its cooperation with the temples, local communities and the local government. The Tod Pa Pah was therefore enthusiastically supported by all these different sectors of local society.

Phra Kru Kositpariyatayatorn, member of the Supreme Sangha of  Tambon Suthep and Abbot of Wat Pa Deng and Phra Kru Arthornwisutikhun, of the Supreme Sangha of Hang Dong District and the Abbot of Wat Nong Tong helped, advised and guided LDR through the preparations for the ceremony and on all negotiations to get the sub district administration and the senior officers involved in the ceremony.

The weather was cloudy, cool and dry on the day of the ceremony. In the morning, a group of happy, laughing seniors decorated the Pa Pah tree in the meeting room of the Center. Outside, while guests began to assemble in the tents, under the beautiful bamboo trees, on the green hillside outside.

Nine respected and supreme monks, from the sub-districts, kindly came to participate in the ritual. The excitement and joy among the guests was great when the much revered 94 year old Luang Pu Kru Ba Duang Dee came and donated to the Center.

Phra Kru Arthornwisutikhun, the Sangha President of the ceremonies, kindly said in a speech that it was a good idea to build a Center to teach Humane Education. It was a step in the right direction because it would help Buddhists to learn kindness and compassion which is very important. He stressed the fact that the Center would not simply be a shelter for stray and abandoned dogs but a place to learn to care for animals with compassion and respect. He wished the Lanna Dog Humane Education Center success in its work and aims.

It was very inspiring and humbling to experience the kindness of these venerable senior monks giving so much importance to a project for the welfare of animals and taking the time to participate in this ceremony. We thank them very much.

We should also like to give special thanks to Khun Wanida Chainuwat and her family, who have always supported LDR very generously. They donate 100,000.- Baht. We shall name the media / teaching and conference room in their honour.

Our sincere thanks also to the Regina Coeli School Alumni 16 and the CMU Medical School Alumni 18, who worked so hard to prepare the Tod Pa Pah ceremony.

Our thanks and gratitude also to Khun Suradej Hengwittayakul, who sponsored the delicious lunch as well to the friends who donated the fresh coffee and snacks. Above all, thanks to the many people, who cannot all be named, for sponsoring the printing and distributing leaflets, paying for ceremonial items, as well as using their credit and connections to collect donations. The costs of the Tod Pa Pah were over Baht 50,000.-These costs were not subtracted from the donations but were happily donated again by many friends.

The most important thing we gained from this Pa Pah ceremony is that it proved to us that LDR is a sustainable, well established organization in Chiang Mai. We were overwhelmed by the donations and the many guests of various religions that participated in the ceremony.

“Metta” –compassion – is universal and we would like to ask people of all faiths, philosophies, cultures and ethnicities to join our efforts to create an atmosphere of care, respect and affection in our Chiang Mai, where plants, animals and humans can live together in peace and harmony.
